Justin Smith, Preaching Minister
Justin began working at the Hartselle Church of Christ in 2021, and has been serving as Preaching Minister since January 2023. A Glencoe, AL native, Justin attended Freed-Hardeman University where he achieved a degree in Biblical Studies. Justin has worked with churches in Gadsden, AL; Jackson, TN; and Stantonville, TN. He also served as an admissions counselor at Freed-Hardeman University for 5 years. He is married to Savannah, from Douglas, AL, who assists Justin in his ministry with her photography and PR background. They have two children, Wyatt and Collins. The Smiths enjoy traveling and all things outdoors. Justin and Savannah have a passion for ministry and encouraging families to work together in service of the Kingdom.
Michael Deese, Youth Minister
Michael began serving as the Youth Minister at Hartselle in May 2023. A Holly Pond, AL native, Michael attended Freed-Hardeman University where he achieved degrees in History and Family Ministry. Michael has worked with youth for churches in Muscle Shoals, AL; Milan, Tennessee, and Jonesboro, AR. He is married to April. They have three children Emerson, Elan and Eleanor.
